ElaineI have been involved in the health profession since 1991. I trained initially as a Registered Nurse (NZ), then as a Midwife (UK, 1996) and more recently as an Acupuncturist (NZ and Nanjing China, 2009).
I have an interest in maintaining wellness with extensive knowledge in environmental, nutritional and lifestyle management which can help to improve your well being. I have completed the foundation course in Environmental and Nutritional Medicine (ACNEM). I incorporate Acupuncture, Guasha, Moxa, Cupping, Acupressure, Electro-therapy, nutrition and Bach flower Remedies into the treatment plan.
I often work closely with your GP, Specialist, Midwife and other health practitioners to achieve the best outcomes.
I am a member of NZASA (New Zealand Acupuncture Standards Association) which assures you that strict clinical guidelines are adhered to and disposable needles are used to maintain an optimum level of hygiene. I also undergo regular education, keeping up to date to improve my practice. I am ACC approved.
Nicky
NickyI’ve always been passionate about helping people improve their health and wellbeing. My healthcare journey began in Auckland, where I trained and practised as a registered nurse. In the 1990s, I worked in New York City caring for patients during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic — an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of compassionate, patient-centred care.
After returning to New Zealand, I developed a strong interest in rehabilitation and occupational health nursing, supporting people through recovery and helping them regain confidence in their health and daily lives.
Personal family health challenges later inspired me to explore complementary approaches to healing, leading me to further study Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and kinesiology. As both a practising registered nurse and registered acupuncturist, I integrate Western medical knowledge with holistic care to provide an individualised and balanced approach to treatment.
I hold postgraduate qualifications in Health Sciences (Acupuncture) from Auckland University of Technology and Case Management from the University of Auckland. I am registered with the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand the New Zealand Nursing Council and continue to work within both conventional and complementary healthcare settings.
My areas of interest include fertility support, IVF support, pregnancy care, pain management, stress-related conditions and overall wellbeing. Treatments are tailored to each individual, with the goal of helping people feel supported, informed and empowered in their health journey.
My approach is warm, collaborative and evidence-informed, working alongside conventional medical care where appropriate to support the body’s natural healing processes and overall wellbeing.
