Elaine and Nicky, the GOOD HEALTH GIRLS, specialise in traditional Chinese medicine. Our goal is to EMPOWER you to transform your health for the better.
We offer clinic consultations as well as online coaching and needle-less acupuncture from the comfort of your own home. We like to see you in the driving seat of your own body, mind, and spirit. We have the tools and the know-how to share, based on our experience of uniting Eastern and Western practices. We have decades of combined professional experience in nursing, midwifery, and traditional acupuncture. As well as acupuncture, we offer nutritional advice, lifestyle coaching, Bach Flower Therapy, and kinesiology coaching. Our first session is focused entirely on understanding what makes you “YOU”. This provides us with the framework to build your unique plan and then the FUN begins and the treatment/coaching starts. You can come to clinic and enjoy the relaxed environment and receive a tailored program or we you can help you to learn to do the same online to take care of yourself each and every day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How does acupuncture and needle-free acupuncture work?
A. The ancient Chinese used 9 different shaped needles in practice and two of them did not penetrate the skin. Modern acupuncture involves the use of slim and disposable needles that are placed gently through the skin into acu- points on the body that elicit various health benefits. Most people find acupuncture to be very soothing and they can often fall asleep or become tranquil during the session.
The other 2 non penetrating needles have a blunt end, and pressure is used to activate the body points in a safe, comfortable and therapeutic manner. It connects and works in a similar way that penetrating needles do. The effects can be straight away or cumulative over time. Acupressure is also an alternative to using a tool. The length of time, types of point combinations, and various ways to stimulate the points will all be discussed during your session.
Q. What does the programme involve?
A. The first appointment is all about finding out about your unique pattern from a Chinese medicine perspective. This can be 60- 90mins as we discuss your health and gather the information we need to effectively form your TCM programme. In clinic you’ll experience your first acupuncture or kinesiology treatment on the first visit. If you are working online, your special acupuncture tool(s) will be sent and in the second appointment, you’ll learn the art of needle-free acupuncture and locate the acupoints best suited to you. We endorse a free acupuncture app that helps to remind you how to find each point if later you can’t quite recall. Our follow-up appointments are great to tweak your points and techniques as you progress on your health path. Things do change.
